Opposites attract, as you always notice in metal. Aquilus is not the first project to combine black metal with classical music, but rarely has this mixture sounded as elegant as it does here. It pays off that Horace Rosenqvist has relied on real musicians for his classical elements right from the start. Be sure to listen to the whole of Bellum I and II!
