URL handler
Link Utilities adds a new url handler to playnite that enables you to send a link from the web browser directly to Playnite. The link has to be formatted like this:
playnite://linkutilities/AddLink/Title/URL
Replace “URL” with the actual URL to the website (has to be URL encoded) and “Title” with the title of the site like this:
playnite://linkutilities/AddLink/Test/https%3A%2F%2Fxyz.de
When clicking on that link, Playnite will add a new link called “Test” with the URL https://xyz.de to the game(s) that are selected at the moment. When a link with that title is already present, you are able to change the it for the new link. Using link name patterns with wildcards, that can be added in the addon settings, you can change the given title to the one you want.
Bookmarklet
To enable this feature to virtually any website, you just have to add the following bookmarklet to the bookmarks in your browser:
Whenever you click that bookmark, the bookmarklet will send the active website to Playnite.
Requirements
To use this feature you’ll need to have at least Playnite 10.4 and Link Utilities 1.1 installed. It doesn’t work with earlier versions!
